Baked Chakli
Ingredients:
¾ cup - Rice flour
2 tbs - Sour yogurt
1 tsp - Green chilli minced
1 tsp - Ginger minced
¼ tsp - Turmeric
¼ tsp - Asafoetida
¼ tsp - Baking powder
1 tsp - Oil
Salt to taste
Preparation :
1. In a bowl take rice flour.
2. Add all the ingredients mentioned above.
3. Knead the soft (not too hard and not too soft) dough with some warm water.
4. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
5. Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees.
6. Grease the chakli mould and baking tray with some oil.
7. Place the dough in mould and make chakli directly onto greased baking tray.
8. Bake chakli for about 15 minutes at 180 degree until light brown.(it will become little hard)
9. Flip it with flat spoon and again bake it for another 15 minutes till light golden brown .(Do not burn it.)
10. Take out chaklis from oven and cool it down.
11. Chakli is ready to eat. Store it in airtight container.

Backed chakli is good option to deep fried chakli. It will have less calories. Bharati Kanani
