Ragi Dosa (Nachni Dosa)


Ingredients :

1 cup   -  Ragi flour
¼ cup  -  Millet flour (Bajra flour)
1 tbs    -  Soya bean flour (to make it more nutritious)
1          -  Finely chopped onion
1 tsp    -   Ginger paste
¼ cup  -   Coriander leaves
3 tbs    -  Sesame seeds (optional)
½ tsp   -  Black papper powder
3 tbs    -  Oil
1 cup  -  Water
Salt to taste


Method :

  1. In a bowl mix Ragi flour, millet flour, soya bean flour , salt & pepper.
  2. Add green chilli, ginger paste, onion, sesame seeds & coriander leaves.
  3. Add water slowly and mix it . Do not pour all the water at a time.
  4. Batter should be of pouring consistency. But not too watery.
  5. Heat non stick frying pan on high.
  6. Add 2 drops of oil and spread it on frying pan. Now pour 1 ladelful of batter and spread it to make small pancake like dosa.
  7. Now Lower the heat to medium high.
  8. Let it cook for a minute on one side (when upper layer dries up completely)
  9. Add few drops of oil and flip it over.
  10. Cook it until it slightly brown.
  11. Make rest of the dosa same way.
  12. Enjoy it with coconut chutney or green coriander chutney or ketchup
Tip :

Top it up with sprout and choice of your salad to make it more  healthy.
