Ingredients :
250 gm - Ricotta cheese
¼ cup - Sugar
¼ tsp - Cardamom powder
1 pinch - saffron
1 tbs - Milk
1 tbs - Ghee (clarified butter)
1 tbs - Pistachios finely chopped
Preparation :
- Take ghee in a saucepan and heat it on medium high.
- Add ricotta cheese and cook it until all the water evaporates and it turns light golden brown.
- Add sugar and cook it stirring continuously.
- Add saffron and cardamom powder.
- Mix it well. Let it cool down to room temperature or until its easy to handle.
- Make small balls from the mixture. Garnish it with pistachios.
- Malai peda is ready to serve.
